Design of a Low Cost Rainwater Harvesting Storage Tank in a Wetland Region

0

I just came across this Challenge to design and submit plan for “Design of a Low Cost Rainwater Harvesting Storage Tank in a Wetland Region“.  Go there for full details.

Challenge Overview
The Rockefeller Foundation is providing support to this Seeker for the design of a new rainwater harvesting storage tank for use in a wetland Region in India. The tank needs to be affordable by the local people and have a capacity of 6000 liters. High water table, flooding, differential settlement and acidic soil are just some of the issues to be overcome with the proper design..

This is a Theoretical Challenge which requires a written proposal only. The Solver will propose a design of the storage tank along with a water catchment system. Drawings will be required as well as a list of materials of construction. Evidence that the proposed system will meet the requirements (from previous applications, testing, existing data, literature, etc.) will be very important. The proposal will be evaluated on a theoretical basis considering the current state of the art knowledge.

I hope that someone reading this here might be able to submit a plan and win this $20K InnoCentive Challenge!
